More info
Since its foundation in 2006, TAIDEA became a brand known for all its knife sharpeners and sharpening accessories. Their products have the purpose of restoring the sharpness of your steel kitchen knives so that they have a great cutting performance at all times.
For example, the Taidea Double-sded Diamond Whetstone grit 4000/1000 is the tool that everybody needs to have in the kitchen to maintain the razor sharp edge of your steel knives. . This is a double-sided whetstone with two different grits for achieving a more complete sharpening result. As a general rule, the higher is the number of the grit, the smaller and finer is the grain present in the whetstones and a thus a sharper ending result.
These are the two sides of this whetstone:
- Grit 400 has coarse grain, which is ideal for the initial sharpening of a knife's blade. It is the most recommendable grit for blunt knives.
- Grit 1000 has smaller grain for achieving a finer sharpening of the cutting edge. This side should be used after the knife has already been sharpened with the grit 400.
This diamond whetstone comes with a plastic base in black colour. The base has non-slip feet to ensure safety avoiding that your whetstone moves while you sharpen your knives. In addition, the whetstone has hollow cavities to collect metal chippings that are left behind when you sharpen your knives.
