More info

Wusthof is one of the most reputed brands in the cutlery industry. With more than 200 years of history, this German brand is highly respected by professional cooks all around the world. Wusthof knives are very well-known for their impressive quality and cutting performance.

However, Wusthof manufactures much more than only kitchen knives. In fact, Wusthof also offers accessories of great quality for maintaining the sharpness of your knives. For example, the Wusthof Sharpening Stone 400/2000 grit is a professional accessory that you can use for sharpening all your steel kitchen knives.

This knife sharpening stone has two different grits that enable you to obtain more complete and better results of your sharpening process. The different grits are described below:

- Grit 400 has a coarse grain, which is ideal for the initial sharpening of a knife's blade. It is the most recommendable grit for blunt knives.

- Grit 2000 has fine grain for polishing the edge of knives that haven’t lost all their sharpness.

It is important to remember that in order to get the best results from using your whetstone, you should always soak it in water for about 5 to 10 minutes before using it. Then, while sharpening the knife, make sure that the whetstone is always slightly wet.
