More info

Since its foundation in 2006, TAIDEA has been a brand specialized in the manufacturing of knife sharpeners and several other sharpening accessories. All Taidea products are made and designed with the purpose of keeping your kitchen knives always sharp.

For example, the Taidea Whetstone grit 3000 is the perfect sharpening accessory to maintain the razor sharp edge of your kitchen knives. This whetstone has fine grains that are perfect for maintaining knives that are still sharp. For blades that start to become dull, a stone with coarser, more abrasive grains would be needed.

The Grit 3000 is usually used for the final sharpening of the blade’s edge whenever you've first sharpened the blade with a lower grit. Given that the grains of this grit are fine, it is perfect for ultra rigid blades such as the ones of Japanese knives.

The abrasive material used in this whetstone is composite corundum. This material has a level 9 of hardness in the Mohs scale, in which diamond takes the first place with a level 10.

Moreover, this whetstone comes with its own base made of plastic. This base in black colour has non-slip feet so that you can sharpen your knives with the security of knowing that your whetstone will not be sliding from one side to another.

Whenever you use this or any other whetstone, you must first soak it in water for about 5 to 10 minutes. Then, while the sharpening process is taking place, you must make sure that the whetstone stays always slightly wet.
