More info
Since its foundation in 1778, DICK has been one of the leading brands of German cutlery. Its high-quality products are widely used by professional and home cooks throughout the entire world. DICK offers a wide range of different products for your kitchen, but one of the first items that gave the brand a very high reputation is the sharpening steel.
The Dick Diamond sharpening steel 25cm is a tool of great quality that is suitable for both professional and home cooks. It is the perfect tool for sharpening all your steel kitchen knives and restoring their razor sharp edge.
This sharpening steel has a round rod with a length of 25 centimeters. The rod is covered with a diamond coating that provides greater strength and durability. Diamond sharpening steels are able to sharpen your knives in far less time than regular sharpening steels.
To facilitate the use of this sharpening steel, the handle has an ergonomic design that fits perfectly in your hand and provides you with a safe grip. The handle is made of synthetic material in black colour, and it includes a loop at the end of the handle which acts as a hanger, in case you want to hand your sharpening steel in the wall.
We know that using a sharpening steel might seems sometimes as challenging task, but it is actually simple and easy to learn with just a little bit of practice. You have to hold the steel vertically in one hand while resting the end of the rod on a secure surface. Then, you have to angle the blade of the knife between 10 and 15 degrees and pass the edge of the blade along the steel in continuous “sweeping” repetitions.

Do not forget to take a look at all the other diamond sharpening steels available on our website. We offer you a great variety of designs, sizes, and brands so that you can use the one that fits you the best!
